Rob Nichols BDS, PgCert (Endodontics)

A member of the British Endodontic Society and the Association of Dental Implantology UK

Rob is committed to developing the Yorkshire Dental Implant Centre as a centre of excellence for private dental care, with a focus on implants. The centre is part of Cottingham Dental Practice, established by Rob in 2000.

He worked in several dental practices in England and Ireland before settling in Cottingham. His experience and knowledge of different techniques and approaches inform his own methods of working.

Rob graduated in dentistry from the University of Manchester in 1986. He completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Endodontics at the University of Chester in 2009 and has now started the Diploma level. He regularly attends postgraduate conferences and courses, with a particular focus on endodontics and implant dentistry.

"An implant is a true, predictable tooth replacement. It eliminates the disability of tooth loss. It is a pleasure to work out the technical puzzle of how to replace a missing tooth and achieve a positive result. I love to see the effects that a successful course of treatment can have on a patient's life."

When he isn’t working, Rob can often be found in a glider somewhere above Yorkshire or volunteering as a trainee driver at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

Rob is registered with the General Dental Council (www.gdc-uk.org): Reg No 61732.
