"The professionalism of Rob and his staff is second to none. I was well looked after – they went that extra mile to make me comfortable. Rob gauged how much detail I could take in and pitched his explanations perfectly. There were some nice touches – a text message the day before an appointment, waiting for me when I was running late and especially Rob phoning me in the evening after the procedure to check everything was OK.

“My six-year-old son kissed me rather (too) exuberantly and cracked my front tooth across its entire width, just above my gum line. Rob performed an immediate emergency temporary repair. For the long-term I decided that my best option was an implant. He explained the procedure and I decided to have a second gap filled by an implant at the same time (I’d lost a tooth when the said child was born!).

“The actual operation wasn’t nearly as intimidating or painful as I had expected. Rob and his team showed great care and consideration and it went very smoothly. I went home with the entire infrastructure in place for two full implants and with a temporary crown on my front tooth. A few weeks later I returned to the surgery for my permanent crown to be fitted. The result was amazing. My new tooth matched the colour of my own teeth exactly and Rob and his technician had completely straightened the appearance of my front teeth – for the first time in my life! A couple of months later I returned to have a crown fitted to my other implant and, again, the match of shape, size and colour was perfect.”

I now have removable dentures that are fitted to implants, one set at the top and one at the bottom. They certainly don’t move around like my old dentures and there’s no palate so food tastes much better.

“The fitting of the implants takes quite some time. I was in the surgery for five to six hours for the top set. Rob and his staff made sure I was comfortable – I was aware of everything that was going on but couldn’t feel it! They were very good, very professional.
